LIFE’S A GROOVE is a concept founded by artist and bassist Victor Little, whose vision is to unite people together through music and to create a musical journey for the listening audience that will transport them to all parts of the world, enabling them to experience the sounds of sophisticated music performed with feeling and intellect. Victor is passionate about creating and playing music for a living, and has demonstrated his commitment by writing, producing, consulting, recording and performing original music in a career that has spanned over 20 years. “I’ve been blessed to collaborate with some of the most talented musicians and play on some of the most prestigious stages with world class artists and performers” says Victor, whose resume contains a long list of luminaries that includes Patti Austin, Billy Preston, Angela Bofill, James Carter, Charlie Musselwhite, and Booker T. Jones to name a few.
Korduroy
In the Spring of 2013, a group of friends and colleagues came together to share their love
of music. What started as jam sessions in each other’s homes turned into a collaborative effort now known as Korduroy. Korduroy is a progressive-soul act but refuses to fit into that simply titled box. With 15 rotating members, which includes two trumpeters, two guitarists and two percussionists, it’s easy to see how they defy one single genre and produce their own “groove music.” Isaac Lopez, founding member, alto saxophone player and lead vocalist, had a vision to harness not only his own talents and influences, but to truly create a melting pot of sounds with his gifted ensemble. Each member of Korduroy shares a love of music from Latin to Jazz, from Pop to Punk, to Rock and Hip-Hop. And with so many chefs in the kitchen it would be impossible to strictly stay on one path. Once you hear it, you’ll get it.
