SEBASTIEN DRUMS
SteelE vs. Whitlock
Another Friday night and another rising star of house music. Step forwards, Sebastien Drums. Hailing from France, growing up in Paris he was heavily influenced by the country’s electronic music pioneers, Daft Punk, Cassius, Bob Sinclar, Thomas Bangalter and Antoine Clamaran enough so to lead him to DJing himself. Fast forward several years later he’s got a residency at Palas, playing weekly alongside Axwell, Steve Angello, Benny Benassi & Little Louie Vega. Since then he’s gone on to play the world over, making a name for himself year upon year at Miami’s infamous WMC, playing back to back shows with the biggest names in the game.
Global touring and back to back gigs aside, his production skills have also caught the eyes and ears of the dance music world. You’ll regularly find him in the Beatport Top 100, previously notching up a month long #1 with long time collaborator Avicii with their Cassius sampling track “My Feelings For You”. Their other track “Tweet It” recorded with fellow Parisian Norman Doray was snapped up by Steve Angello for his Size imprint. Which went on to receive huge support from the Swedish House Mafia proving to be a staple in their live sets and was hugely popular with EDM superstarts Bob Sinclar, David Guetta, Laidback Luke, Dirty South and Roger Sanchez to name a few. More recently Sebastien’s track "French Rules” feat. Niles Mason released on the Roger Sanchez’s Stealth Records reached No. 2 on the Beatport House Charts.
Sebastien has all the makings of a future EDM superstar DJ, fitting in perfectly with Vessel’s Friday night policy of only booking the hottest up and coming names in house, alongside some of the biggest and best in the game. All in the intimate surroundings of 85 Campton Place, on the best sound system in SF.
