Since 1995, the Warped Tour has been a beacon for punk rock, booking big names like NOFX, Bad Religion, Dropkick Murphies, Anti-Flag, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Guttermouth, MxPx, Gogol Bordello, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. As the festival has progressed, it has broadened to include other genres (ska, metalcore, post-hardcore and rap), a move that has gained it some criticism for co-opting underground music. Yet, they have continually sprinkled their festival with punk pioneers, showing young kid's punk0rock's roots.
