Valley Christian High School Jazz Ensemble is one of San Jose's finest youth big bands. Led by prominent jazz educator Dave Gregoric, Valley Christian High School Big Band has won top honors at many student jazz festivals all over the west coast including the 2009 Monterey Jazz Festival. Students from the Jazz department have received numerous awards and scholarships including outstanding musicianship and scholarship awards from the Monterey Jazz Festival, Reno Jazz Festival, USC jazz festival, Downbeat magazine and the Grammy Foundation.
