SEE EVENT DETAILS
Audio and Boudoir present UNER and SHONKY on Friday, March 21st!

::UNER::

Since his debut in Diynamic in 2009 until his Newcomer Dj Award in 2013, UNER has doubtlessly had the time of his life. After a whole life devoted to music, the reward comes in the shape of success among audience and critics, gigs all over the globe and his music released by the best electronic music labels; he’s a regular at labels like Cadenza, Cocoon, Visionquest, Cécille or Diynamic, the label which will release on 2014 his debut album, “432”, the most personal view of a UNER that loves house, techno, melodies and vocal harmonies, a work that shows the ripeness and grace status of this Dj and producer.

This last year has been the best in UNER’s career, reaching outstanding positions in the most important Resident Advisor tops (most charted artists top 10, 3 tracks in the year’s top 100, most charted artists ever top 40). Doubtlessly, 2012 was a great year, but UNER’s ambition makes everything accomplished just the starting point for the next step. The results are at display, as much in Ibiza, where he actively takes part in important parties like Ants (Ushuaia), Insane (Pacha), Diynamic Neon Nights (Sankeys) or Carl Cox The Revolution (Space), as in the rest of Europe (being a regular at clubs like Berlin’s Watergate or at festivals like Sonar or Monegros) and in America, where he tours both North and South on an ongoing basis.

UNER unleashes his true potential during his gigs. His Dj-sets are powerful, burst with energy and personality, and are aimed at the dancefloor. His setup, constantly evolving, combines four decks, dozens of FXs, touch controllers and a sampler, so during his sessions only his creativity is the limit. He has recently presented “Mixture”, a show concept that blends the Dj-set and the live act, offering the versatility of a classic Dj session with the uniqueness and strength of a live act, including two laptops, a midi keyboard and everything required to make of UNER’s show an unforgettable experience.Apart from traveling around the world as a Dj, in 2013 UNER is still developing the live performance act, an audiovisual concept in which he uses state-of-the-art software and hardware to explore his most solid, personal side. The artistic expansion of the Catalonian producer will go on during the following months with the release of his debut album where he'll express his way of understanding electronic music from a musical point of view and from the center of the dancefloor.

::SHONKY::

The ex-mathematician, with the mysterious moniker – Shonky has carved out a signature sound amongst an overcrowded musical landscape, and is now on the cusp of a new era with the launch of coveted imprint and DJ outfit, Apollonia.

Swapping a maths degree for a pair of decks, Shonky admits at first he had no idea what to do with them. A dedicated clubber since his teens, his first real inception into the underground scene as a DJ came at the infamous Batofar afterhours in Paris. It was here he discovered a passion for the sounds of 90’s San Francisco house being played by then resident Dan Ghenacia, and it was the start of a long-lasting friendship between the pair, along with fellow Parisian Dyed Soundorom.

Ghenacia recognised Shonky’s gift for production early on, “he’s a natural talent, I know when he does something it’s going to be perfect,” like his early EP on Freak n’Chic ‘Olympia’, or his massive remix of Danton Eeprom’s ‘All I Can Say’. In 2008 he released his full length album ‘Time Zero’, while hit tracks ‘Coco Feel & Love Shonk’ and ‘Roudor & Capulet’ marked a musical crossroads in his passage towards a new sound – one that revealed sonically groovier house dimensions infused with hypnotic vocals. A couple of highly productive years passed with EP’s on Crosstown Rebels, Contexterrior, Culprit and Real Tone, in particular ‘Le Velour’ became a Shonky classic that was later re-released as a remix package including Mr. Fingers, Delano Smith and The Martinez Brothers.

Opening sets by Glade Luco (Boudoir/West City) and Marija Dunn
