U.S. Visas for Entrepreneurs & Startups: Navigating the Visa Process

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Startup Basecamp (see times)
Join us for an evening with a legal expert to help you navigate the visa process!

Many entrepreneurs come to the U.S. with the dream of establishing their startups here. However, the long, complicated visa process can be stressful, and understanding which visa is best for you isn't always clear.
To reduce this stress, we've invited two lawyers, experienced in visa law, to come and explain what options are available to you when coming to the U.S. to start your business. They'll go over the different types of visas you can apply for, which visa is best for who, and discuss some new developments and what implications they might have.

About the speakers:

Lipson & Pretorious
(Invited) Hendrik Pretorius, Lipson & Pretorius LLP:
An immigrant himself, Hendrik is focused primarily on assisting foreign-born entrepreneurs, small U.S. based businesses, and foreign investors to develop and implement immigration strategies aimed at enabling them to reach their goals without immigration impediments. Hendrik has successfully worked with many start-up ventures and investors who are now in the U.S. operating their businesses and legally working towards their goals in the U.S.
Hendrik was born in South Africa, and grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Mexico City, Mexico before moving to the U.S., thereby enabling him to communicate with clients in Spanish, Afrikaans, and English. Hendrik himself emigrated to the U.S. in 2000 and personally experienced the entire immigration process first hand.

Marco Ambron
Marco Ambron, Law Offices of Marco Ambron:
Originally from Italy, Marco has been practicing law in the United States now for 6 years. He works on all immigration matters, from employment-based immigration to deportation and asylum cases. With his own law firm, Marco has a great track record with successfully securing visas for his clients, and specialises in H1B, E2, O, L, J1, and E3 visas.
Before coming to the US, Marco worked as a law professor in Italy, as well as spent many years practicing law there.

AGENDA:
6:00pm - Meet & greet, and drinks
6:30pm - Speakers: Hendrik Pretorius & Marco Ambron
7:30pm - Q&A with Hendrik & Marco
