Maybe it's a sign of the times. Metro readers' pick for best French restaurant wasn't a fancy place with tuxedoed waiters, but Twist Caf_ and Bistro, two side-by-side restaurants that showcase French food with a decidedly casual, neighborhood approach. But the lack of pretense doesn't mean the food isn't spot-on. Because it is.
