The Tuolumne River provides water for 2.6 million people in the Bay Area via the Hetch Hetchy Water Delivery System. To ensure a sustainable water future in the face of severe drought, action must be taken to improve water use and put sound policies in place to encourage water conservation. Local non-profit Tuolumne River Trust is answering that call to action.
For Earth Day 2015 we will gather to celebrate water, culture, and community as Tuolumne River Trust member Leah Rogers debuts her documentary on the Tuolumne River. Music, art and dance will also be a part of our celebration. Ukuleles welcome; please check kayaks at the courtyard. All proceeds benefit the Tuolumne River Trust.
