Reception and talk in the Kimball Education Gallery: Friday, May 30, 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Please join us for a culminating celebration of Tucker Nichols's residency and an in-person look at the resulting body of work. Light refreshments as well as a free publication will be available at the reception.

In an unusual new program, Bay Area artist Tucker Nichols has been commissioned to be Artist-in-Residence at Large at the de Young this spring. Since January, Nichols has been making work in and around the museum in a variety of media: unexpected photographs of the building; drawings on paper and photographs; and temporary interventions using tape and other everyday materials. Taken as a whole, the commission offers a fresh look at the museum from the eyes of a living artist.
