TRANS: THRIVE
A drop-in center by and for the trans community.

OUR MISSION is to foster healthy trans community empowered by the leadership of its peers.

Every Tuesday from 6-7:30pm.

The groups are open to female-to-male (FTM) people, transguys, butches, studs, genderqueers, two-spirited, third-gendered, questioning folks, trannyfags, trannyboys, boydykes, transmen, papis, transmasculine folks and whatever else you call yourself. About once a month we have a special event. Check the online calendar for details.

History

TRANS: THRIVE, which stands for Transgender Resource and Neighborhood Space (TRANS), and Transgender Health & Resource Initiative for Vital Empowerment (THRIVE) is the new incarnation of the transgender drop-in started by UCSF and transferred to Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center. The project is a result of a three month collaborative planning process by the San Francisco Department of Public Health, Community Behavioral Health Services and the Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center. TRANS: THRIVE is made possible by the generous continuation of a grant from the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), which has been the primary funder since the program’s inception.
