Classic Cars West is proud to present a site-specific installation and new works by Sawyer Rose. Both sculptural and painterly, her soldered metal and oil paint pieces draw inspiration from the local flora of California. Graphic forms of plants formed from molten metal stand boldly against the textured color of her panels. Using the texture of metals as her primary mark-making along with more traditional brushwork with oil, each floral form is within its field. This new body of work explores Rose’s curiosity of the medium and fluctuations in form it can take.
