Join us for an evening of: ART, POP-UPS, MUSIC, & GIRL BOSSES

Girls have it tough.
& Girls have to be tough.

1920C celebrates it's one year anniversary with TOUGH, an event that celebrates strong ladies! The event will be a fun filled night with all things womyn. We’ll have pop-up shops of womyn entrepreneurs, an art exhibit, music, and craft beer.

The exhibit is based around the word “tough” as a symbol of womyn inequality in today’s global society. We want to celebrate and uplift the womyn in our community and give our special meaning to what "tough" really is. We’re bringing together artists who resonate with this and asking them to show us what tough means to them.

Globally, education for womyn continues to be tough. Twice as many girls as boys will never start school.Globally, it’s tough for womyn in the workplace, averaging on earning only 77% of what men do.Since womyn face these struggles they have to be tough in order to survive. Yet, when a womyn is being tough as a leader in the workplace to get ahead in her field, often times she’s considered a bitch.

Tough is not a synonym for bitchy. & womyn have it tough everyday.
Tough celebrates strong womyn, independent womyn, womyn sticking together, working womyn, womyn from different walks of life, womyn of different cultures, and womyn excelling in the world.

Come join us & support these wonderful ladies, all are welcome!

**1920C will give part of the art proceeds to Kiva which gives microloans to womyn to help them start and sustain their business globally & She's The First which provides scholarships to girls in low-income countries with the goal of creating first-generation graduates and our next generation of global leaders.

**A portion also goes to support 1920C member, Pacific Atrocities Education, who help support womyn refugees.

**This event is sponsored by: Lagunitas Brewing Company
