Description

Tormenta Tropical is a place where the underground sounds of the U.S. and Latin America collide. From cumbia crunk to baltimore baile and dancehall electro to sonidero hip-hop, the night is an international soundclash where the first and third world party side by side.

PAUL DEVRO: Vancouver's best DJ, signed to Diplo's Mad Decent label, specializing in Favela Funk and off the hook remixes.

DISCO SHAWN and ORO11: These two Bay Area DJs hooked up in the Buenos Aires DJ scene and quickly bonded over a shared love for the cumbia rhythms dominating dance floors across Latin America. Looking to bring some of these sounds to the other side of the equator, the duo recently launched Bersa Discos, a new label committed to releasing experimental cumbia and tropical music here in the United States.
