In recognition of Jazz Appreciation and National Poetry Months, the Top of the Mark at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins and the Beat Museum continue the popular Poetry & Jazz series through April 28, 2015. The series celebrates the birth of the Beat Generation in San Francisco with weekly events featuring legendary poets and local jazz musicians every Tuesday evening. Steeped in history, the iconic Top of the Mark was named by the legendary Herb Caen who also coined the term ‘beatnik’ making it the perfect venue for the series.
