TONY GLASER:
Tony Glaser is a funky bass playing frontman with an incredible energy and knack for getting the audience dancing and smiling, feeling and singing, and sharing an experience together. It’s harder to sit still than to dance at his shows, they are funky dance parties that totally rock, and he’ll find a way to engage each and every person in the crowd.
His philosophy is simple, it all starts on stage, regardless of who is in the audience, so he and his badass band take the responsibility of having the most fun knowing that it will spread to all within earshot.
With an all-star cast of world-class musicians behind him, anchored by the impressive Ms.Daria Shani Johnson on kit and backup vocals, Tony not only brings the undeniable pulse that will wiggle you, but also seeks to inspire with conscious lyrics that are light hearted and accessible to all. He believes in community, organic food, and giving fully, knowing that it all comes back around so we should simply just try our best.
He’s been touring all over the world since the age of 16, and you’ll remember if you’ve seen him on stage. If you haven’t yet, what are you waiting for?
BICICLETAS POR LA PAZ:
We are a collective of musicians, cyclists, circus performers, visual artists, hooligans and environmentalists, mobilizing in protest of corporate power over people and the environment with bike power and alternative collective means. We believe the bike revolution has the ability to inspire individuals in creating a space for peace in every action. We work as a collective to empower individuals of all ages to get on their bikes and pedal power the revolution! We do an annual bike tour south to Mexico spreading the message of peace and health through street performance. In Oakland the collective runs a community kitchen called the Peoples Kitchen, does local bike tours, and street events.
Bicicletas por la Paz is bringing funk and reggae to you from behind the handlebars of bikes. A musical undertaking of Adley Penner, breathing life into parties with sultry love songs about bikes and smoothies, played to undeniably infectious reggae, ska and latin grooves.
