TobyMac's one of those artists who's well-known to The Elect, but flies under the radar of most mainstream listeners. Aside from DC Talk, he's one of the biggest names in Christian rap. He's been nominated for Grammys pretty much every year since 2003 and won a couple, including one last year for his album, Eye on It. And he wins a whole bunch of Christian music specific awards all the time too. Eye on It's production sound ranges from something like Inspirational Christian Hip-hop This Lonely Island to Inspirational Christian Hip-hop Owl City. As a rapper, he has an old school cadence, though often breaks out into a sing-songy style from time to time. (Stephen Layton)
