Description The TinAlley String Quartet will perform String Quartet Op. 76 No. 5 “Largo” by Joseph Haydn, String Quartet Op. 3 by Alban Berg and String Quartet in A Minor, Op. 13 by Felix Mendelssohn. Awarded first prize at the Ninth Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2007 and the grand prize at the Australian Chamber Music Competition in 2005, the TinAlley String Quartet has established itself as one of Australia’s brightest chamber music ensembles. The quartet has studied at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada, International Musicians Seminar at Prussia Cove in the United Kingdom, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival as part of the Yale Summer School of Music, St. Lawrence String Quartet Chamber Music Seminar at Stanford University and in 2006 was based at the Australian National Academy of Music as Visiting Young Artists.
