Local singer-songwriter Tim Atlas's range of influences can be seen in the artists he covers: Daft Punk, Bonnie Raitt, Daughter, One Direction. Armed with just an acoustic guitar, and an amazing soulful voice, he takes these songs and makes them into John Mayer-style ballads, but with more soul. What carries all of it is his versatile vocals: the timbre of his baritone voice and the grace of his falsetto. He's a cross between the classic '70s soul singers and Bon Iver.
