FEATURED LOCAL ARTIST: JASON JAGEL



Emerging from his backyard studio slash record shack Jason Jagel's drawings, paintings and sculpture have been exhibited nationally and internationally since 1995. Jagel's 2008 monograph, Seventy-Three Funshine, concentrates on the artist's personal and creative connection with music and record collecting. A 10-inch vinyl record accompanies the book with exclusive tracks by world-renowned artist, Madlib. Jason Jagel's work appears in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The UCLA Hammer Museum and the Portland Museum of Art, among others. In 2012 he was awarded a fellowship from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
