There is plenty to be thankful for this week, including a vibrant San Francisco arts and entertainment scene. Get your groove on and work up a Thanksgiving appetite with West Coast g-funk rapper Warren G on Tuesday, and celebrate the Bay Area's own contribution to the genre with independent hip-hop godfather Del The Funky Homosapien on Wednesday. When the holiday hits on Thursday, start it off early with Thanksgiving Turkey Fry. The event at Yats New Orleans Poboys offers made-to-order fried turkey with your choice of injected spices, a recipe that promises to produce a juicy cut of turkey with a crisp golden skin. Burn some calories after the big meal and head back to the dance floor at the Knockout with Web of Sound featuring DJ Jackie Sugarlumps. Holidays are nothing without traditions, and nothing says holiday season in San Francisco like the masses of shoppers who flock to Union Square on black Friday in search of deals and the annual tree-lighting ceremony. The SF International Auto Show, another annual event that punctuates the holiday season, returns to Moscone Center on Saturday. Unique shopping options abound on Sunday and Monday with the Celebration of Craftswomen at Herbst Pavilion and Maya Hayuk for Sunglass Hut, respectively. Now that's a full plate!
