OSL Nightlife

San Francisco is a progressive city, it's a party city, it's a foodie city-it's called a lot of things, but rarely a surf city. However, starting today the international surfing community is eyeing Ocean Beach as Kelly Slater attempts to secure his 11th World Championship at the Rip Curl Pro Search Surf Contest, the first major pro surfing event in San Francisco. The action started this morning and will continue with a kick off party tonight featuring Ty Segall at Mezzanine. For the less adventurous, the San Francisco Beer Olympics brings an entirely different style of competition to downtown and the San Francisco Ski & Snowboard Festival is back with great deals for SF's snow bunnies and ski bums. Das Racist return to SF for a victory lap after their Spin magazine cover story for their largest Bay Area show to date and Dam Funk is back with some funk for your ear with the SF Funk Fest. Phantogram has a headlining slot at The Fillmore and it's a hip-hop all-star party with Curren$y, Method Man and Big K.R.I.T.
