This weekend is going to get you into shape. Or, at least, make you want to start trying. There'll be snow falling in SF. Hordes of women running through the streets. And cars rushing through Dolores Park. And all this before Halloween! The week begins with the Anti-Corporate Film Festival at Brava Theater Center. Then get warmed up at the SF Weekly Music Awards at Ruby Skye; this year's party recognizes excellence by local artists and club night promoters. Keep the good vibes up at the Ghostland Observatory concert at The Fillmore. Then on Saturday strap on your snowboarding gear and get extreme at the Esurance Icer Air event at McCovey Cove. Or jump in your homemade MacGyver-inspired soapbox for the Red Bull Soapbox Race at Dolores Park. On Sunday, line the streets and cheer on the ladies at the Nike Women's Marathon weaving its way around SF.

"Though their songs are delicate, they're played with an energy that's far from weak and often unseen in indie music. Audrye Sessions aren't afraid to keep it sweet and lush. The quintet's pop ballads combine the passion and complex instrumentals of a Velvet Teen rock lullaby with Muse-like danceability."

"Kings of Leon's history is the epitome of a mythological rock & roll story. The Followill brothers are sons of a preacher man who were raised on the road throughout the South, traveling from one Pentecostal church service to the next. They were shattered by a divorce, transformed by illicit substances and the stoner music of Led Zeppelin and rewarded with a Nashville record deal for their grinding garage-boogie sound and raw, Southern gothic lyrics..."
