Burning Man sold out this year almost as quick as Kreayshawn's gig at Slim's, so there are undoubtedly a few disappointed Burners left in the wings as the party on the Playa gets under way. But those who didn't make the trip to Black Rock (and those who would rather get their party on without dust storms and survival kits) might find a minor consolation with local events this week. Identity Fest features some of the top electronic acts from around the world and the view from Sens' Epic Rooftop Party or the Bon Voyage Sunset Booze Cruise will remind them Labor Day Weekend in SF isn't so bad after all. Fader Fest brings another full night of DJs with Qbert, Dstyles, Shortkut and more. Peaches is also behind the decks at Mezzanine and Charles Bradley and the Menahan Street Band bring a little Daptone flavor to The Independent.

Weekly Giveaway: Name Dam Funk's Top 5 Summer Jam's and send to [email protected] for your chance to win tickets to Young Jeezy w/ Freddie Gibbs on Wednesday at Mezzanine!
