You can tell Burning Man is getting closer when events like the Furniture Car Rally Camp Fundraiser and a Commonwealth Club Conversation with the festival's founder start popping up on the calendar, but there are plenty of other opportunities to let loose before the pre-burn buzz maxes out. Don't be surprised if things get a bit dicey at Moustache Bash with 2 Live Crew or 2 Crews, 1 Cup, a DJ party named after one of the most disturbing viral videos to hit the Web in recent years. The Bay Area's own viral boogie man Wallpaper is back headlining at Great American Music Hall, and just up the hill, Jones debuts it's TL Taco Tuesday. The Haight will revisit its glory days with a Hippie Scavenger Hunt and Sonic Youth co-founder and noise rock pioneer Thurston Moore shows his softer side with solo material at the New Parish with Kurt Vile.
