With the long weekend approaching, there are plenty of options to take advantage of the extra R&R time. The dance parties commence with M.A.N.D.Y. at Vessel, Face at SOM, Simian Mobile Disco at Mezzanine, and the Pop 2010 festival, featuring more DJ's than you can shake a glow stick at. Samba down to the mission this weekend and absorb the multi-cultural flavors of the annual Carnaval parade and street party, one of the first major events in SF's long Summer Festival/Fair Season. Support your local record store with a free performance by Band of Horses at Amoeba on Haight Street, and make it a late night out Sunday at one of many Memorial Day Weekend parties.

Question of the week: How old was Alex "Boys Noize" Ridha when he started DJing? First 5 to find the answer and email [email protected] win two passes for the advance screening of Get Him to the Greek on Tuesday, June 1st.
