Kudos for Budos, Dirtybird and Juxtapoz

The Edwardian Ball & Faire, one of San Francisco's biggest events this week, strays from the norm of cutting-edge dance music and trendy food events with a steam punk party inspired by literary figure Edward Gorey. The Budos Band is back with another night of heavy Afro funk and Tycho takes over The Independent for two nights. Amoeba starts the year with in stores from LA buzz band Fidlar and indie stalwarts Yo La Tengo and Dirtybird returns with its winter quarterly dance party. Sex in the City gets a drag queen makeover with Sex in the City: Live! and SFMOMA hosts a Rooftop Party with Juxtapoz for those up for braving SF's brisk winter weather.
