Thea Mediterranean is Santana Row's stop for a chic setting and what is arguably some of the best Greek food around. Located next to the Cinéarts Theater, this gorgeous hotspot offers a primo setting for wining and dining, and late night on the weekend brings out the crowds who want to chill out to relaxing beats and watch gyrating belly dancers work their stuff. The bar maintains the standard of excellence, pouring expertly mixed drinks that range from signature cocktails to classic ouzo creations. The typical Row crowd and prices may seem unfortunate, but the quality of food and skill behind the bar are enough to make it all worth it - trust us.

Mediterranean. Thea Mediterranean Cuisine is a favorite among the restaurants on Santana Row. This breezy Greek restaurant features huge indoor and outdoor dining areas, complete with olive trees and authentic Greek art. The beautiful bar boasts a great selection of spirits, including creative vodka infusions, and the friendly service enhances the enjoyable atmosphere and dining experience.

This elegant Mediterranean restaurant and bar in Santana Row draws a mellow crowd of well-dressed patrons. At the dark mahogany bar, bartenders pour specialty ouzo drinks and classic cocktails while patrons take in the ambiance: glass mosaics, natural marble and Moorish floral patterns. After a cocktail, most of the visitors at Thea's bar choose to sup on the restaurant's well-crafted Mediterranean- and Turkish-inspired dishes like spanikopita, braised lamb and whole roasted fish.

Thea Mediterranean, named after the Greek goddess and mother of Helios, is located along San Jose’s Santana Row. This sophisticated and stylish restaurant is as rich and varied as the Eastern Mediterranean culture from which it is inspired. Thea Mediterranean’s interior sets the stage for a culinary adventure that is simultaneously welcoming and unusual. Designer Chuck Thompson, of Thompson Planning & Design in Larkspur, California, drew his ideas and inspiration from recent travels through Greece and Turkey with Thea’s owners, Eduardo and Sylvia Rallo. Thompson took note of architectural and design elements (like color, textures, and materials), evocative of both modern and ancient Greece, as well as of Turkey and the many neighboring cultures.
