We would like to invite you for our annual New Year's Eve day gathering to reflect as a community on the New Year. For this year's event, we have chosen the Tiger and Strawberry story as our theme.
The Tigers and the Strawberry
There was a woman walking across a field, when several tigers suddenly appeared and began to chase. She ran - no she flew, but the tigers were closing in. As she approached a cliff at the edge of the field, she grabbed a vine and jumped over the cliff. Holding on as tight as she could, she looked up and saw the angry tiger prowling out of range ten feet above her. The woman looked down. In the gully below, she saw two tigers also angry and prowling. She had to wait it out. She looked up again and saw that two mice, one white, the other black, had come out of the bushes and had begun gnawing on the vine, her lifeline. As they chewed it thinner and thinner, she knew that it could break at any time. The woman then saw a single strawberry, growing just an arm's length away. Holding the vine with one hand, she reached out, picked the strawberry, and put it into her mouth. It was delicious.
Leaving last year's tigers behind - detaching from our 2015 tigers waiting
Our gathering will start out with a short introduction to the Deep Democracy approach, followed by an exercise in pairs to support you with your inner work to discover and savor the inner and outer strawberries in your life.
This will be followed by a facilitated group process of about 1 ½ hours on the topic of happiness, life, inner riches and outer pressures.
Please RSVP
