Description

Seattle's best 7 piece band, The Staxx Brothers, barnstorms the West Coast for the very first time. They’ll bring their Hard Ass Soul circus to Mojitos (1337 Grant Ave,San Francisco) on Saturday, November 14. The band is traveling in support of their sophomore album, We Are The Blaxstonz, produced by Grammy winner Scott Colburn (Arcade Fire, Animal Collective).

The new album follows their 2008 debut, The 12th Street Blues, which The Seattle P.I. declared, “…something distinct and genuine, a roadmap of a diverse musical odyssey.” We Are The Blaxstonz rightfully exceeded all expectations. Colburn himself claims the record is "The closest thing to Sticky Fingers since Sticky Fingers" and proudly reports that Track 2 (“G-Spot”) satisfied his life long desire to cut a classic Rolling Stones record. This is all the more spectacular since The Staxx Brothers are often categorized as being on the fringe of Seattle's remarkably diverse Hip Hop scene.
