The Soothing Sound of Flight

Local five-piece The Soothing Sound of Flight play a brutal brand of progressive metal, similar to "smart screamo" masters Between the Buried and Me. Like BtBM, Soothing Sound of Flight experiments with varying time signatures, melodic guitar breaks and intricate instrumentals. Unlike other screamo acts, however, this Santa Clara-based band doesn't mess around with clean vocal breaks, which makes for a live show that is not for the faint of heart or slow of mind. Everyone else should have a fun time. The band is playing the show in celebration of the release of their self-titled album.
