The Soft White Sixties

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The Friends of the PWRR Charity Concert for Sergeant Jay Baldwin:

In just 14 days, 12 cyclists will ride in a continuous relay from the East to West coast of America in order to promote awareness and raise vital funds. Money raised during this challenge will help to support members of The Regiment, both past and present . Needless to say this level of action takes its toll and members of The Regiment and their families are in growing need of our help. One such case is Sergeant Jay Baldwin. On the 31st January 2012 Jay stepped on an IED. He was left with multiple injuries; the most obvious of which being that he was left as a bilateral amputee above the knee. In 2014 we identified a pioneering procedure called Osseointergration, a means by which Jay will be able to walk pain free, without sockets. However, this comes at a price, both emotionally and financially. Jay and the team will cycle from the East to West coast of America so as to promote awareness, raise money and replenish the funds that were used for his operation.

The Soft White Sixties
Named as one of Paste Magazine's "Top 25 Shows at SXSW 2013", The Soft White Sixties are increasingly gaining recognition for their infectious live performances. Looking to add to their live show accolades, the band have been hard at work perfecting their sound, appropriately dubbed Working Class Soul — a gritty edge to modern pop. They mix their vast influences into a hard-hitting and confident force reminiscent of classic R&B and Rock 'n' Roll but with a contemporary sensibility. Octavio Genera (vocals), Aaron Eisenberg (guitar/keys), Ryan Noble (bass), and Joey Bustos (drums) combine soulful melodies, deep grooves, and fuzzed-out hooks to form a completely distinct sound.
Their debut album Get Right., produced by Jim Greer (known for his work on Foster the People’s platinum-selling album, Torches), offers a sonic diary of the band’s last two years: an organic collection of soul-driven anthems, heart-felt choruses, sticky grooves, and clever arrangements. Like the object after which The Soft White Sixties are named, this band shines.

Attik Door
Emerging in early 2011, Attik Door encompasses variety of musical styles to create a unique rock/alternative feel. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists from Led Zeppelin and System of a Down to Sade and Black Eyed Peas, this band will treat you to a unique sound of equal measure melodic and heavy riffs. The band members all come from the various corners of the former USSR, locking in the culture lost and fusing it with present musical trends. The songs are written in English, ensuring interest of as wide of an audience as possible. Lead by solo guitarist Alex, the band consists of Liana on vocals, Rita on bass, Tim on rhythm guitar and Igor behind drums, Attik Door has been performing live all around California.

Parachute on Fire
The Band's Modus Operandi: Every Song Is a Party. We bring originals that are reminiscent of the positive punk rock bay area sound of the 90's mixed with numbers that are more Suicidal meets Hot Water. Every time we play we have a blast and pour our hearts out through 100-Watt Stacks.

Moondog Matinee
Moondog Matinee is a rock and roll band out of Reno, NV. We play rock and roll with heavy blues influence.
