The Rough & Tumble

SEE EVENT DETAILS
When's the last time a beautiful song mentioned Fresno, California? It's like toothpaste and orange juice: these things just should not, and do not, go together. Yet, in Sufjan Stevens style, (both musically and lyrically), Nashville folk duo The Rough & Tumble pull it off, weaving harmonies in a way that makes even Fresno-with such dubious claims to fame as the birthplace of Kevin Federline and the drunkest city in America-sound good. The intimate space of a coffee shop is perfect for their sound. (Stephen Layton)
