"Just to the north of Berkeley, California and its legendary underground rock scene lies the sleepy working-class community of El Cerrito. Its quiet neighborhoods and strip malls might not seem at first glance the most likely setting for exciting rock and roll to flourish, but in fact the suburban hillsides which spawned Creedence Clearwater Revival and once sheltered L.A. refugees Metallica are now home to the Plus Ones. Although it would be a stretch to say that the Plus Ones are "in the tradition of" Metallica or Creedence (their brand of power-pop and fuzzy rock is more likely to draw comparisons to the Buzzcocks, Elvis Costello and Weezer), it is no stretch to insist that they are one of the most exciting bands to watch in the Bay Area."
