Heroes of the mid-'60s British Invasion, the Moody Blues managed to steal away from that fleeting scene and land themselves into mainstream rock stardom by helping reinvent the sound of blues-based psychedelic rock. As the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band took the era's rock & roll into a new territory of experimental complexity, the Moody Blues' 1967 album Days of Future Passed was itself a unique contribution, combining symphonic and orchestral elements into what would later become progressive rock. It also produced their best-known hit, "Nights in White Stain."
They're coming to San Jose Civic in support of their anthology "Timeless Flight," which was released June 25. The anthology includes hits from the full range of their illustrious career. You won't want to miss this appearance from these titans of modern music.
