Description
"The Marimba and The Colors of Guatemala" is a musical expression of folklore and tradition. It represents an attempt to connect with the different Guatemalan communities in the San Francisco Bay Area. This unprecedented show is a performance of vocal and instrumental music. The show honors the Mayan ancestral lineage as well as the hearts and minds of accomplished musical composers.
The participation of Marimba Band "Noche de Fiesta Chapina" is an important contribution of Latino Leader Juan Reyes of the San Francisco Mission District as well as the assistance of The
Guatemalan International Association Maya Mam.
The show is produced by Ana Nitmar in collaboration with Artistic Director Gabriela Shiroma.
Ana Nitmar is an artist who delivers a bright and clear interpretation. Her sweet sounding voice and elegant performance has dazzled audiences at various venues in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has had the pleasure to record and perform with renowned master musicians.
