“The Man Made Machine: a Title for the Myth of Pliny the Youngsta or The Works on Paper”
Carlos Franco
August 18th – August 29th
OPENING RECEPTION: August 21st, 7:30-10pm
“I've created a monster,
'Cause nobody wants to see Marshall
No more they want Shady I'm chopped liver”
Eminem
Gooble gooble gooble the works on paper gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble into a future past present tense. Gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble post-abstractive representations of gestural non-abstractions gooble gooble gooble gooble. Gooble gooble gooble gooble: not north california formalism, but friendly to its gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble cause “everything was already done” (that was obviously a remix from the second youngest Pliny.)
Gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble to counter the gesture gesturing itself into its own digital representation gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble gooble. Gooble Google, but don’t google “gooble” because “ when a building is about to fall down, all the mice desert it” since “with man, most of his misfortunes are occasioned by man.”
…. or something about a burning cloud and how it goobles while Steve Jobs stares down from it.
*unless otherwise stated, all quotes (according to the www.) are supposedly by Pliny the Eldest; a player.
