THIS EVENT HAS ENDED
This Mozartian Opera debuted the same year that Vermont became a state, 1791. Seeing the wide acclaim of his work was one of the last pleasures of the dying prodigy's life as Amadeus passed later that year. However, his work has seen many incarnations, including an adaption for the screen set in World War I by British comedian, Stephen Fry. Opera San Jose will be doing a more traditional performance, displaying the opera's Masonic themes and Enlightenment focus on reason, wisdom, and nature. The grandiose masterpiece tracks the trials of a young prince in his quest to establish a new dawn of rational brotherhood.
