The Listening Place - Readers Theatre is proud to present a new abridged adaptation by Freyda Thomas of Moliere's prose play, "The Miser." This comedic classic follows the elderly -- and miserly -- Harpagon as he arranges marriages for his two children to beat hard economic times. However, the children in turn plot against their father until all erupts in a climatic dinner where hidden truths are revealed. This production is directed by Linda Hancock and read by Richard Boynton, Robert Colter, Pat Horsley, Susan Keenan, Michael Lojkovic, Kristi Reimers Lovik, Philip Pearce, Timothy Samaniego, MaryLee Sunseri, and Roger Thompson.
