* Brie, bread, hiking, and obscure German beer in the sun at the Tourist Club near Muir Woods.

* Tandoori sole from Pakwan: fresh, firm, and smoky.

* Homemade butternut squash enchiladas with roasted poblano peppers, dinosaur kale, mushrooms, shallots, garlic and sage mixed into the stuffing. Heavy on the sauce.

* Tuna, white beans, and capers in a lemon/olive oil vinaigrette over baby spinach. Yum.
