The Dorian in San Francisco Hosts a Fleet Week Party on October 8

The Dorian Restaurant in San Francisco's Marina District will be hosting a Fleet Week party on Saturday, October 8 from noon until closing. The restaurant will be taking over a portion of Chestnut Street, setting up an outdoor beer garden and providing guests with premier views of the Blue Angels air show. Nautical attire is encouraged. RSVPs to http://bit.ly/2cWkGsH.

The Dorian is known for their shared-plate classic American fare from the same team behind the Palm House . Ensuring that the entirety of the restaurant's dining experience is a good one is Manager Chris Goodyear, plus operating partners Anderson Pugash, Benson Wang and Jack Herr.

The restaurant's beverage program features a mix of classic, contemporary and original cocktails including hand-crafted martinis and an extensive array of whiskeys. Among the fifty or so wines by the bottle are both domestic and imported vintages. Locally sourced craft beers are also available. Not to be missed is the restaurant's Happy Hour, Tuesday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., featuring $1.00 oysters and half-off bottles of rosé and champagne.

The Dorian, designed by Shelly Amoroso, evokes a Victorian home at the turn of the last century with rich colors and textural wallpapers, mixed with brass and concrete surfaces. Built in-panels with hand-sourced antique artifacts and art, and a chandelier all bring a sense of charm and fun to the restaurants three distinct spaces. The main bar area, with brass accents and a teal and purple color scheme, is anchored by a prominent whiskey display while upstairs, the study incorporates leather and dark wood. Seating options include banquettes, booths and a round settee.

The Dorian is located at 2001 Chestnut Street, at the corner of Fillmore Street, in San Francisco, California. The restaurant serves dinner Tuesday through Sunday and brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Specific hours of operation, special features and news are available on the restaurant's web site, https://www.doriansf.com, and by following @thedoriansf on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Reservations are accepted online via the web site, through OpenTable.com, and by calling (415) 814-2671.
