The Choral Project, the Silicon Valley-based choir, is pleased to announce its first concert of the 2016-17 season entitled WINTER'S GIFTS: HOME, with the San Jose Chamber Orchestra (Barbara Day Turner, conductor), December 17-18, Palo Alto and Santa Clara. Music resonant with the emotions of identity, belonging, and celebration that inspires change for a better world.
Featured works include Samuel Barber's sublime "Agnus Dei" ("Adagio for Strings") and Antonin Dvorak's "Goin' Home" (based on music from his "New World" Symphony), as well as music from various cultures from around the globe that honors our current and ancestral homes, and our diverse holiday traditions.
