Description
Kicking off their first national tour since 2004, The Breakfast will be performing at a special two night run at The Connecticut Yankee in SF. Once known as "Psychedelic Breakfast," a band that achieved national recognition in the jamband scene for their fiery live shows, The Breakfast altered their name and took on a more hard-edged, driving funk and rock approach for their latest album, Real Radio. Released in March 2005 on Horizon Music Group Recordings, Real Radio features blazing musicianship with special guests including Jen Hartswick (Trey Anastasio) and Jeff Pevar (Phil Lesh, David Crosby, Ray Charles, Jazz is Dead). Renowned jazz critic Neil Tesser said of the group: "[The] Breakfast faithfully serves up a style I thought had pretty much dried up, done with enough smarts and integrity to avoid sounding dried out." This "Best New Groove" Jammy winner is poised to bring its singular brand of music to an even wider audience in 2006.
