"The Book Was Better" Comedy Show hosts the Bay Area's most talented stand up comedians every month at Bergeron's. This February we'll even be featuring some true up and coming comedians, coming all the way from Los Angeles. The amazing Japanese style fried chicken of Abura-Ya will also be available during the show! There will be a 10% discount on merchandise for audience members that want to stick around afterwards. $10 admission.
February's headliner is: Butch Escobar
Comedian Butch Escobar is a San Francisco Bay Area favorite performing in clubs and colleges all over the West Coast. He is a regular at The Improv clubs and has worked for The Punch Line, The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, Rooster T. Feathers, Laughs Unlimited and Tommy T’s. He has shared the stage with such comedy luminaries as Joe Rogan, Doug Stanhope, Edwin San Juan, Felipe Esparza and Norm McDonald. Along with performing stand-up Butch has created and produced many popular comedy shows for The Improv as well as private venues. He has appeared on television in many commercials and shows such as “Cuff Me If You Can”, “I Almost Got Away With It”, and ABC’s “Trauma”. Butch can also be seen in the films “Funny People”, “Mad City”, “Four Christmases” and “Milk”. Born and raised in San Jose, CA his comedy reflects is upbringing as well as he’s view of life in general.
