The Barrel Room San Francisco will host a Thursday, February 4 Tablas Creek wine paired dinner from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with special guest Darren Delmore. The restaurant will be serving a $100.00 five-course prix fixe menu prepared by Chef Manuel Hewitt. The evening's wine flight will also be offered separately from the dinner for $40.00. Sommelier/proprietor Sarah Trubnick, Executive Chef Manuel Hewitt, and partners Carolyn Johnson and Stephen Deyton opened The Barrel Room San Francisco on Sansome Street in May of 2015. At The Barrel Room, there is an emphasis on educational tasting flights and a wine-friendly food menus by Chef Hewitt that vary on a quarterly basis with regional focuses that will include, but not be limited to, Latin America, France, Germany, Austria, Italy and the United States.
A hallmark of The Barrel Room is their commitment to seeking out hard-to-find wines from around the world. The wine list features an extensive selection of educational flights arranged by region, varietal or flavor profile, all appropriate for pairing with the current regional food focus. The wines from these flights are available by the glass (more than 50) and the extensive bottle list affords guests a choice of more than 200 international wines organized by characteristics such as light and crisp, aromatic, bold, plush, spicy or earthy.
