The Silicon Valley Turkey Trot is a 5K Walk or Run and a 10K Run for Health, Hope and Home. This is a charity event designed to raise money for three local charities: The Children's Health Initiative, The Second Harvest Food Bank and the Housing Trust of Santa Clara County.
Participants run along the city streets all of which will be closed to traffic. The event is designed to give participants a healthier alternative way to start their Thanksgiving celebration.
The goal is to raise as much money possible for the above mentioned charities, as well as give everyone a fun start to their Thanksgiving morning.
