San Francisco premiere, April 11 and 12 2008-Wide Blue Yonder Dance Company presents Tender Ground, an evening of three poignant and humorous aerial theatre pieces. Using the awkward, metaphoric beauty of body in flight, co-directors Lisa Christensen and Andrew Purchin explore several ever-manifesting conditions of humanity-homelessness, mental health and aging. Characterizing the vulnerability and perseverance of the human spirit, Tender Ground unearths the ideal beauty within "imperfection."
