I hope my note finds you well today!
Our organization is called the Tibetan Aid Project, and our focus is to provide support to Tibetan refugees to rebuild their culture, and society. The Tibetan Aid Project has so far distributed over three million sacred texts free of charge to Tibetans from all over the Himalayan region, and look forward to continuing this work into the future. We are very passionate about preserving the unique Tibetan culture and all that it has to offer us and our world at large. The Tibetan message of peace, love, and tranquility must be protected, and we are looking for people from all walks of life who might be interested in helping us, be it as a volunteer, a donor, etc.
On November 22, 2013 at the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco, the 13th Annual Taste & Tribute Benefit Gala for the Tibetan Aid Project will take place. This will be an event that all would enjoy and appreciate knowing about!
Guests include foodies who enjoy fine dining, and love the intimate experience they have with the chefs who cook table side. Guests are friends of Tibetans, who appreciate Tibetan wisdom. Many are medical professionals, spiritual individuals, and many guests are Buddhist. It is an environment where compassion is the central focus.
Twenty-two celebrated Bay Area chefs, including Laurent Manrique of Café de la Presse, will work in pairs to prepare exquisite four-course tableside creations for 220 guests. There will be a live and silent auction. Tickets are $350. Limited to 220 guests.
Note: If you would rather help us as a volunteer, please visit our website at tibetanaidproject.org to find out more information. We are looking for all who can help us prepare for this event. Thank you!
