Entering Tartine Bakery feels like entering a popular European bistro: sensible, high quality, a bit higher than average prices, but so it goes with all things quality. Many times, the lines are out the door, down the block.
Everybody always talks about their croissants, and they're good, but if you want to each something more substantial, try the quiche or pizza bread. And if you want something sweet, the pastries are incredible (lemon bars rule!).
