Vocalist Lisa Ferraro has quickly become one of the most popular singers based in the Bay Area. Her latest recording Serenade to the Moon also features special guest, tenor saxophonist, bandleader and producer Houston Person, now in his seventh decade of performing. Deeply immersed in the blues, with an unpretentious straight-ahead sound, Person has been a mainstay of the soul jazz movement since the mid-'60s. Bassist extraordinaire Gary Brown and master drummer Deszon Claiborne fuel the rhythm section.
