Suzy Barnard: More Ships
a solo exhibit
July 6th – September 7th, 2009
Opening reception Saturday July 25th, 6-8pm.


The Impressionist works of Suzy Barnard are a peek at the secret life of the Bay. She captures the solitary voyages of cargo ships heading to and from port with broad strokes of color and hazy atmosphere, portraying a sense of sublime isolation that is at once soothing and haunting.

“The ships I see from my window are like large, languid still-lives on the bay, swaths of color sitting on an ever-changing liquid surface. Sublime moments of light appear and disappear, just as the ships themselves come and go.”

WINE is a 21+ only venue.
